We've returned from our first family roadtrip. Sixteen hours to Ohio, eighteen back--chalk it up to a headwind...or continental drift...maybe even something as mundane as horrendous traffic in NJ and CT and MA, none of which I'm interested in driving through again.
The real news, though, is that the Little Lady was beyond good. She was such a trooper. Elaina's never been much for drives over 20 minutes, so you can imagine how nervous we were about sixteen hours each way. She was great though. We made it back home 3 hours after bedtime, and while Heidi and Elmo had to work pretty hard to keep her entertained for the last couple hours, she made it with no major meltdowns.
We had a great time in Ohio. Elaina had so much fun with all her cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. Pictures to follow.
