What’s a little girl to do on a rainy day? Fortunately, Heidi has the answer: princess stuff!
There’s a whole rack of princess dress-up clothes that Heidi’s managed to find at yard sales and on eBay. For a fraction of the price a normal princess might pay, Elaina can spend her rainy (and not so rainy) days in style!
(Elaina’s a lucky little girl to have a Mommy who thinks of all these things.)
In these pictures, she’s dressed as everyone’s favorite working-class princess, Snow White. I love the shot above. For some reason, it reminds me of Elaina’s Aunt Linda.
Don’t let anyone fool you—princessin’ is hard work. There’s just an awful lot to do. You can’t just put on a fancy dress. There’s a good bit of bouncing and flouncing around that you have to do, and you have to find the right sparkly wands and jewels and other accessories.
That’s why Snow White is so appealing—you can kind of just knock around the house with a bunch of your friends.
Princess wear is becoming even more popular recently. We’re gearing up for a trip to Disney World in the Fall. I thought, at first, that Elaina was going to be too young, but she’s actually a great age. She’s all excited. She’s been talking about who she’s going to hug--at the very least, Micky and all the princesses, and Special Agent Oso, if he’s around…not even sure he’s a Disney character, but if he is, he’s getting a hug.
