Heidi and Elaina and I would like to wish all of you Happy Thanksgiving. We saw wild turkeys in the yard today—about 16 of them, and big ones! I guess they know it’s safe to come out now.
This is the first time Elaina’s seen the turkeys. The year before we had her, there was a group of 20+ turkeys that roosted in our trees every night. I kind of miss having them around. No pictures of the turkeys, sadly, but here’s Elaina’s Thanksgiving paper from school, as dictated to Ms. Brie by Elaina. Parts of it are kind of funny. Apparently, just like she has no use for a brother, she has no use for a boy turkey either.
