One of the things I like best about being back in New England is the Fall foliage. Elaina agrees.
She always likes being outside, but she seems really drawn to the red and orange and yellow leaves.
We had fun racing up and down the driveway, picking out pretty leaves, and looking up at the sun coming through them.
Sadly, though, when you have fun at the “Speed of Elaina”, your pictures don't always come out so well. Here are a couple that I really wish weren't blurry...but at least you're getting to see her as I do.

Perspectives: Little Girl, Big Trees
Notice that everything is in focus in this one except her hands and the leaves in front of her face? She's pulling on that branch, causing the leaves to shake and shoosh in front of her face. She loved the sound and the wind and maybe the thought that she can create such a commotion.

Normal, everyday things that we sometimes are too busy to notice or take for granted become "mini miracles" when seen through the eyes of a child!
There are a lot of good things about living with Elaina, but that's one of the best. She has an enthusiasm for everything that's sort of contagious.
