"Oh...my little girl doesn't have an outside voice," he said smugly...and thereby, became the author of his own punishment.
Elaina's found her "outside voice". Just days after I told Jean (a classmate of my who comments here occasionally) that my little girl didn't have one, Elaina discovered the wonders of the "outside voice".
It's fantastically versatile. That's the beauty of it, really—you can use it at the dinner table, in the play area, anytime. You can use it to entertain Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, or just yourself. It resonates pleasingly in the living room, has a different, tinnier quality in the kitchen. In the stairway, it booms and echoes. It's just the best thing ever, and I think she's going to use it as much as she can from now on.
(Sigh)

Ahhhh.........apparently you haven't had "Parenting 101" yet!!! You NEVER say, "My child will never......." (even if you REALLY REALLY don't think they ever would!)Pretty harmless, though.......learning this concept on her "outside voice"! :)
