Spring Walk

This past week, Elaina went for a walk outside for the first time. She has her own hiking shoes, and she's been very excited to use them.

She's discovered a number of important things: the ground is much more uneven than the floor inside, "hills" in the yard that Daddy overlooked before are really large to a girl her size, there are lots and lots of cool things to touch and smell and taste. Sure, there's that silly "no eating, no biting" rule, but no one said anything about tasting.

Favorite stone, favorite stick

One of the best things to do when walking outside is to find a really great stone and a really great stick. You can carry these around and occasionally taste them when Daddy lets his guard down.

Walkabout

Some of you have only seen Elaina toddling about in The Corral. Since being set free, she's gotten quite a bit better at the whole walking thing. This is only her second time in these shoes and outside.
