Wow! Wow! It’s Elaina’s Birthday Party!

It’s (almost) Elaina’s birthday!   Elaina’s 2nd birthday is Tuesday, and her party was Saturday--just a few friends and family over for pizza and cake. 

Last year was all about Elaina's Tol.  This year was all about Wubbzy.  Wow! Wow!

Heidi came out of cake-making retirement to make Elaina a Wubbzy cake. Unlike last year, Elaina was old enough to appreciate the cake. She didn't want to stop playing at first, but when I held her up to see the cake, it got her full attention.

As you can see, Elaina's not the baby she was last year, she's a little girl now--not that this shot of her delicately inspecting a birthday card is really representative.  It’s more the case that shots like these are the 10% that are non-blurry and have Elaina fully in the frame.  People actually at the party saw Elaina as a red and white blur much of the time.

Here she is with a new present—a stuffed Max, from the show "Max and Ruby". (Incidentally, Max is the bunny with lots of robot toys that Elaina's scared of.)

Quite a little lady in yellow shoes to go with the flowers on her dress. ...But not so much a lady that she can't plop down on the floor and play with other kids.

Miraculously, the dress stayed clean, despite cake and snacks.
