A Walk Around Seoul

In our first day here, since we had no Peanut Butter business, we walked around the part of Seoul where we’re staying and did a little shopping. 

It was Elaina’s first time in Seoul on foot.  As the only non-Koreans in view 99% of the time, accompanying a small Korean, and that small Korean having a facial birthmark, we seem to draw a lot of glances (on the polite end) and stares (on the less polite end).  A few genuine smiles and nods too, which by and large, are a lot nicer than the looks more open to interpretation.

We were in a second-hand shop, and Elaina found a hat that she really liked, that was all of about $2.50.  It was a pretty inexpensive way to brighten her day, and it shifted more of the looks to smiles.
