The Princess and the Malt Shoppe

The one day we got held up by rain was the day that Elaina got all made up as a princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  She wanted (that’s right—she wanted) to get her picture taken at the place just down the street.  But then it started pouring.  And there’s our princess in pink glittery hair and makeup….

Fortunately, a bunch of the shops are connected and we bought a rain poncho and waited for a break.  Mickey’s Malt Shoppe was one of our places of refuge, and it was there that the princess and her retinue relaxed to wait out the rain.

I love these pictures because they’re so much more Elaina than the posed pictures she did for the photographer.

I love her mischievous expression in the top one, her natural smile in the one on the right.  Her laughing got the one below included, despite its being blurry. 

We had a lot of fun during this nature-imposed break.
