If you’ve not been around Elaina for awhile, you might not know that she’s a big girl now. More specifically, she doesn’t use a high chair anymore.
Our kitchen table has a bench instead of chairs, and the lack of chairs, doesn’t exactly encourage ladylike sitting positions.
I do sometimes miss the days of having her immobilized in her chair, but she’s actually pretty good, and not as messy as I might have feared.
Okay, I know my mom is saying, “Poor little girl—that looks so hard on her knees.” She’s really okay. I’ve checked with her, and she insists she’s okay. Elaina’s not the most fragile of little girls.
Someday, Elaina will be big enough that she’ll sit at the table like an adult. Until then, this view always makes me smile.
