Beeautiful

Bee9Elaina went trick or treating this year for the first time.  She was a bumblebee.  We couldn’t have been more proud of her—she was a polite little bumblebee, saying “Thank you” and “Happy Halloween” and “Have a good night”.  Couldn’t get her to say “Trick or Treat” though.  Every time a door opened, she’d chirp, “What’s your name?”

She didn’t seem especially scared, but as we walked along, her antennae bouncing with each step, she did keep saying, “There’s nothing to be scared of….”  But it didn’t sound like self reassurance—she said it in a kind of chipper little voice, as if explaining it to us.
