Elaina’s a pretty polite little girl. I often get “please”, almost always get “thank you”, and occasionally, “I’m sorry, Daddy.”
Now, let me preface this next bit with the assertion that I’m a pretty even tempered person, and even more so when it comes to Elaina. But she’s two, and she can try one’s patience sometimes. So, while it’s infrequent and somewhat mild, I do occasionally raise my voice a little. She’ll often get respond to that with “I’m sorry, Daddy,” and it’s cute and nice and gets us back in-sync.
So, the other night, I’m brushing her teeth, and she’s being extraordinarily two, and I raise my voice a little.
Elaina’s response? “I’m sorry Daddy yelled.”
You have to give her points for sincerity.
