Elaina, No Swiping!

In the category of things that are funnier after the fact than they are at the time they happen….

Those of you with little girls probably know all about Dora the Explorer and that sneaky fox, Swiper.  Swiper sneaks up on Dora and friends and tries to swipe and hide their stuff.

This morning, I’m rushing to get Elaina downstairs and get myself to work, when suddenly, Elaina grabs my socks and darts away.  She runs into Heidi’s and my room, giggling. 

“Elaina, get back here!”  I’m not amused.  And she’s not listening.

Before I can catch her, she throws her arms up, tossing my socks on the bed in a flourish, and sings out in her little voice, “You’ll never find them now!  Ha ha ha!” 

(That’s exactly what Swiper does when he swipes someone’s stuff.)

It really is  funny…now.
